Skincare Is No Longer Just for Women

For a long time, skincare was seen as something aimed mainly at women. From advertising to product packaging, much of the industry felt heavily focused on the female market. But that’s started to change in recent years.

More men are becoming interested in looking after their skin, not because they want complicated routines, but because they are recognising the importance of keeping their skin healthy and comfortable day to day.

Recent research reflects that shift. A 2025 YouGov report found that interest in skincare products among British men aged 18–34 has doubled over the past four years, while the Boots Beauty Trends Report 2025 also highlighted a 14% rise in men shopping for skincare and beauty products across the UK.

Much of this interest is rooted in practicality. Dry skin, cracked hands, exposure to weather and outdoor work are everyday realities for many men, particularly those working with their hands or spending time outdoors.

A Simpler Approach to Skincare

Not everyone wants a shelf full of products or a complicated skincare routine.

Many people are now looking for skincare that feels straightforward, practical and easy to use. Products with recognisable ingredients and a simpler approach are becoming increasingly appealing.

Why Natural Balms Appeal

Outdoor work, gardening, sea air, cold weather and regular hand washing can all leave skin feeling dry or rough over time.

That is part of the appeal of balm-based skincare. A natural balm can be used where it is needed, whether that is dry hands after work, rough patches exposed to the weather or skin that simply needs extra moisture and comfort.

No complicated routine. Just practical skincare that fits into everyday life.
